About
Hi I'm Josh
I’m a generally registered psychologist with a masters degree in Professional Psychology and 10 years experience.
I have worked for the majority of my career within the disability sector and have extensive experience working with adults and adolescents with Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Psychosocial Disorders and Communication Disorders.
I am experienced in working with people with a disability, their families and support network to manage complex and challenging behaviour including physical and verbal aggression, self-harm and factors which contribute to vulnerability.
I have worked closely with people subject to restrictive practices and their families and support networks, including people who have been subject to containment and seclusion. I have a robust understanding of the ethical and legal issues within this area, and always adhere to least restrictive principles.
For the last two years I have worked within the NDIS LAC Partner in the Community Program to help develop skills, experience and understanding of the NDIS system from the inside, to ensure that I am able to provide exceptional quality of service to NDIS participants and assist them to navigate these challenging pathways.
If you think that I may be able to assist you, please get in touch.
